    This message is for M.McIntyre.
We really appreciate your comments. It is always a struggle between - do we ask our employees to work every Statutory holiday or do we ask our customer to stockpile until the next scheduled pickup. We do not have the ability to move pickup days as all 5 working days of the week are scheduled.
Our drivers are wll aware of the increased volume on such routes and are prepared to take the time to pickup extra volume.
As a customer you have the option to drop off your recyclables at our Drop-Off Centre at 225 -6th Avenue East at no cost to you. Please advise our receptionist that you are a customer on Route #15.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

I have been impressed by the service I've received from Crown Shred over the past 2 years, however, my latest pick up fell on Good Friday. I have 4 bins full of recycling and now I'm going to have to wait until April 20 for pickup! That is ridiculous! I don't have a room in my house dedicated for my recycling, and I have 2 small children, one of whom is crawling and likes to play in the plastic. I am not thrilled one bit that I'll have to keep it piling up for another almost-two weeks! In my opinion, it should be Crown Shred's responsibility to either pick up my route the day before, the day after or split it in half to pick it up with other routes if one's pick up day falls on a holiday. The guys will not be impressed on the 20th when they're dumping 8 bins of recycleables and using 20 minutes of their day at my house alone. Holiday scheduling needs to be revamped!

I have been more than satisfied with the service I receive from Crown Shred over the past 2 years. My only comment is that I have 4 bins of recycling ready to go and the pick up in my neighbourhood fell on Good Friday. Now I'll have to wait until April 20 to have it picked up again. That is ridiculous! I do not have a room in my house dedicated to my recycle bins and now that I have 4 bins FULL I'm going to have to wait almost 2 more weeks to get it picked up?? In my opinion, if a customer's route falls on a holiday, it should be Crown Shred's responsibility to pick it up either the day before or the very next available day. Split the route up for both days. Waiting another 10+ days is ludicrous and obviously my recycling will increase further. The guys can thank me when they have 8 bins to dump when they show up here on April 20th.

Come on people. Time/labour and a few dollars is your contribution towards a greener planet. It is a small price to pay for a better environment for you and future generations.

I get it, it's your choice to offer and my option to decline. That's what I'm going to do. I'm not doing labour, then time/money to drop it off, and paying you for the privilege of using up my time/labour. This is the city of Regina's fault, not yours, but it's still retarded.

Most types of household plastic and styrofoam can be prepared and sent off to a market (end user somewhere) but to get it there costs money. All we do is offer you the service and you can choose that option if you wish. The drop off location has assisted many Regina residents in diverting reuable waste from the garbage bin.

Hello, i was impressed that regina had a place to recycle styrofoam and plastics but i am NOT going to pay 2.50 to clean, save and then deliver these items to you!!! Its free for me to drop these items into the garbage outside my house. So, i want to say thanks for recycling plastics and styrofoam, but im not going to pay you for it if i bring these items to you!!
