CSR Plastic Lumber Manufacturing Process

Our fence boards, planks, and 2”x2” plastic lumber are all made from household plastic such as yogurt containers, bleach containers, shampoo bottles and any other plastic that has been collected from your kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, den or your garage.

The plastic has been collected from various curbside customers in Regina and area, Moose Jaw and Prince Albert as well as from Material Recovery Facilities (MRF) around the province.

This plastic is then shredded in our plastics plant where it then is heated to approximately 220 degrees Celsius to liquify it in the extruding process. The liquid plastic is forced into a mould where it forms the various boards. The mould is then cooled and the board is removed and trimmed to the correct length. The board is then ready for use.
