Your service includes 2 Blue Boxes and Bi-weekly collection ( download calendar ). In 2006 the Town of Lumsden implemented a mandatory Curbside Recycling program for all residents. It has been very successful with Crown Shred collecting & processing approximately 571,498 pounds of material in the 2 years! Way to go Lumsden residents!
Have your bins out at the curb by 8:00 am to ensure collection. Any new resident to Lumsden is asked to contact Town Hall who will make arrangements with our office to have bins, bags & a calendar delivered.

- Household plastic with a number 1 - 7 on the bottom in the recycling logo.

GROCERY BAGS
To minimize unnecessary litter:
- Please use your grocery bags for any extra paper/cardboard materials that will fit.
- Please use your grocery bags for any shredded paper or any other household plastic materials such as lids, film and grocery bags.
SORTING REQUIREMENTS:

FLATTEN:
- All cardboard boxes
- All boxboard material
REMOVE:
- Lids and caps
WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
- Light bulbs
- Styrofoam
- Window glass
- Household garbage
- Ceramics
- Plastic food or product wrap
- Glass bottles and jars
- Plastic motor oil or hazardous chemical containers
- Unclassified plastic items such as toys
- Recyclables that are not properly rinsed or prepared
